The We Are the Future Youth Scrabble® Program© was developed out of  the intense joy and mastery of the game by We Are the Future Inc.,  Int’l's TM Founder and CEO, Rev. Daisy Walden.

Rev. Walden hails from Jamaica and presently lives in Florence, South  Carolina. Rev. Walden considers herself a 30-year "pretty good Scrabble® player"  and believes that others, particularly youth,  can not only enjoy the  game, but find it a valuable resource for improvement in  English, Math and other disciplinary skills.

In 1993, Rev. Walden received the "vision" to form her company, a youth organization, We Are the Future Inc., Int'l TM. She truly believes  that all of our youth are precious, deserving beings who, if undeveloped,  uncared for, unmotivated, and left without hope--will surely provide our  nation and the world with NO FUTURE! Rev. Walden has stated, "Our children are NOT renewable resources."

In 1998, after six years of toiling to get the company going, she was able to write and co-produce her promotional video, along with her husband--Richard D. Walden--28-year retired Army veteran. Intermedia Communications, a 34-year old quality production company from  Massachusetts, produced the video and she was on her way to tell the world about--our FUTURE!

In the spring and summer of 1999, Rev. Walden, expanded the goals and objectives of her company to include the We Are the Future Youth Scrabble® Program©. She has affectionately titled this project, T.A.P.S. Club -- Think and Play Scrabble®.

The T.A.P.S. Program
TM is one that any school or organization can implement. Rev. Walden is available for speaking engagements, to assist organizations or schools in the development, coordination and implementation of this comprehensive and enlightening education program for youth of all ages. This program is currently being utilized in an elementary school (1st grade) in the Pee Dee area with great success. Applications for the in-school program and booklet outlining the program may be obtained by contacting  We Are the Future Inc., Int’l TM at 843-679-4929 or via e-mail at watf@bellsouth.net.
